Pinewoods Conservation Group (PCG) has launched an exciting new competition to capture The Pinewoods throughout the seasons. Visitors to the woods are being asked to submit pictures over the next 12 months representing the seasons. The best pictures for each season will be selected for a limited edition 2016 calendar.
For each image used the photographer will receive a free calendar. For the best overall picture the winner will receive a meal for two kindly donated by Harrogate’s award winning fine dining restaurant Van Zellers. Photographs will be selected by the Pinewoods committee and chef Tom van Zeller with calendars being printed for sale at the Pinewoods Open Day in September 2014.
Michelle Whitfield-Speed, Secretary of PCG said “Pinewoods changes dramatically over the year with the arrival and departure of many visitors, birds and other wildlife. We are hoping this competition will help us capture the best of what the woods has to offer. ”
Tom van Zeller added ““I’m really looking forward to being on the judging panel for the Pinewoods photography competition. It’s great to be involved with an organisation that devotes so much time and energy into the local Harrogate community.”
Photographs should be of print quality and emailed to secretary@pinewoodsconservationgroup.org.uk. A selection of photographs received will be displayed on Facebook, Instagram and on Twitter via @PinewoodsHgt.
