William’s Warriors, a local group of walkers, are embarking on the gruelling National Three Peaks 24 hour challenge. This challenge involves climbing Ben Nevis (1344m) in Scotland, Scafell Pike (978m) in the Lake District and Snowdon (1085m) in Wales within 24 hours, including the driving time between each peak. This challenge will take place next Friday, 5th July.
As part of our 2014 membership drive ASDA Harrogate have kindly agreed to let us have a stand in their store on the morning of Saturday 25th January. The idea will to be explain more about the group and our plans to shoppers, hopefully encouraging them to sign up as members. If you are able to come and support us on the day, even for 30 minutes, it would be appreciated.
Notice of our AGM that will be from 7.30pm to around 9.30pm on Thu 13th March at the Green Hut Community Centre, Harlow Avenue, HARROGATE, HG2 0AS.

Pinewoods Litter Pick - Fri 28th March 3pm to 4pm - Help Needed
RHS gardeners from Harlow Carr will be helping in a special community project taking place in the Pinewoods - The Irongate Community Green Space. Working alongside volunteers from Horticap and Pinewoods conservation group, the team will be planting and clearing throughout the day. Come along to find out more!
Please bring wellies and a trowel.
We have another 750 plant plugs to plant and "Many Hands Make Light Work" as they say. With 10 people we expected this will take about an hour.
Why not come along and create a lasting memory on your doorstep. Just bring a trowel!
Come and experience the amazing sound of a dawn chorus with the Pinewoods birds. The short walk will take in some of the amazings sounds and sights of the Pinewoods at Dawn.
Pinewoods Conservation Group will be at this new event for the Pinewoods. The event will see a dog agility show and a dog friendly treasure hunt.
There will also be a Tombola and Refreshments.

On Saturday 21st June from 9.45am to 12pm Pinewoods Conservation Group (PCG) will be holding a charity balsam bash on behalf of Yorkshire Cancer Research. The event will be to raise funds in tribute of Veronica Davenport who was an avid balsam basher and PCG member who sadly passed away from cancer last year.
