Charity disputes claims on quality of trees as part of planning dispute.
Harrogate based conservation charity Pinewoods Conservation Group (PCG) has disputed claims that Rotary Wood is not a successful woodland that has been supported by a leading horticultural expert. We know our campaign to protect Rotary Wood is generating lots of questions so we've tried to address them here. If there are any further questions then please let us know via email or social media. Our main priorities are to ensure this issue is debated and that any actions are carried out in an open and transparent way.
Q1: Have you raised with your MP and what is their view? A1: Yes, we wrote on 3rd January and await reply. Mr Jones was involved in the original planting.Detail

A number of members have asked us about the area cleared in the woods next to Harlow Moor Road.
We have had no prior warning of any works and seeking confirmation on full details from Harrogate Council. We know from North Yorkshire County Council that works are taking place to improve footpaths and add a pedestrian island as part of the recent Miller Homes development.
We will keep all updated here and also via our Facebook and Twitter feeds.Detail

|Path Closure - 7th to 10th Aug||Mon, 2018-08-06 16:43||
As part of planned repairs the middle path from the War Memorial to Harlow Moor Road will be closed from Tue 7th Aug to Fri 10th Aug. This will allow for areas of the path to be cleared and any major holes filled with chipped stone. This work is urgently needed and best done in dry weather that we fortunately have had recently. This will mean that the Woodland Fairy Door Walk will become more if a linear walk for these 4 days but should be back open for this weekend.Detail
