A new web site has been launched for local charity, The Pinewoods Conservation Group (PCG).  The new web site, created free of charge by local business Yorkshire Websites, aims to bring together details of all projects and events the group is involved with. New members are also now able to sign up online via an interactive form.

The Consevation Volunteers are a charity who reclaim green spaces and run environmental projects through a network of community groups (such as Pinewoods Conservation Group) and volunteers. They have sold trees and seeds for some time but have recently set up an online shop for other gardening items. Members have been offered a 10% discount on all items in the shop. The Pinewoods Conservation Group (PCG) has launched a membership drive for 2014. The Harrogate based charity, which promotes the maintenance and conservation of the area known as the Pinewoods situated between the Valley Gardens and Harlow Carr Gardens, is looking to double its members during the year.

Council Gives Green Light for Green Project Sun, 2014-01-05 20:06 Pinewoods Conservation Group to Develop Irongate Field into Green Community Space

Harrogate Borough Council has given the green light on a proposal by Pinewoods Conservation Group (PCG) to transform Irongate field into a green community space. The field, situated on Harlow Moor Road next to Harrogate Spring Water bottling plant, will see a number of enhancements over the next few months.

Yorkshire Water Agrees to Amend Grass Cutting Wed, 2013-12-11 08:43

Pinewoods Conservation Group met with Yorkshire Water last week to discuss grass cutting at Harlow Moor Water Treatment Works. The meeting was also attended by Harrogate District Bio Diversity Action Group (HDBAG) and Rebecca Burnett from the office of Andrew Jones MP after approached by local residents around the issue.

Pinewoods in Pictures Competition Wed, 2013-12-11 08:43

Pinewoods Conservation Group (PCG) has launched an exciting new competition to capture The Pinewoods throughout the seasons. Visitors to the woods are being asked to submit pictures over the next 12 months representing the seasons. The best pictures for each season will be selected for a limited edition 2015 calendar.
